The increasing demand for energy to fuel a rapidly growing population and developing industry has led mankind to look for environmentally friendly, clean, and relatively cheap sources of energy. In this context, steps have been taken to increase the use of "renewable energy resources", which are "sustainable" in terms of time and have the ability to exist in any region of the world.

The main characteristics of renewable energy resources, which are defined as "energy resources that can be available the next day in nature's own evolution", are that they contribute to the protection of the environment by reducing carbon dioxide emissions, they contribute to the reduction of foreign energy dependency and they increase employment because they are domestic resources.

With a high level of environmental awareness, work has begun on the construction of a 35 MWp (DC) land-based solar power plant to cover the electricity needs of our facilities.
