Odak Group was founded by Gürcan Oral as an engineering and construction company.

Mass housing buildings and governmental building projects were constructed in Turkey.

Representing major international coal companies around the world, Odak diversified its scope of work by entering the energy sector, where the company started to trade one of the most important commodities in the country's energy consumption.

Construction projects of luxury residences/villas in Istanbul and Metro Gross Market was completed, the first foreign shopping center chain in Turkey.

It started its solid fuel operations at the coal terminal of the Toros port in Ceyhan/Iskenderun. In the following years, similar terminals were opened in Dilovası/Gebze/Kocaeli, Nemrut/Izmir and Gemlik/Bursa

It undertook the contracting of shopping center constructions in various countries.

Sabri Oral and Soner Oral joined Odak Group and took part in the Board of Directors. 

Odak Group started to focus on the trade and import of steamed coal and petroleum coke for use in various industries

Odak Group entered the Russian market as a contractor to build various structures. 

Odak Ambalaj started its operations in Iskenderun and started to manufacture Polypropylene industrial packaging in a 6.000 m² closed facility equipped with advanced production technologies.

Having built and renovated the Kremlin Palace in Tatarstan, the company continued to expand its expertise in all kinds of projects such as shopping and entertainment centers, hotels, offices, palaces, museums, stadiums, opera and theater halls, and underground metro stations.

Odak Kozyatağı Office Complex Project was developed.

In 2001, Agora Izmir Shopping Center was opened

Agora Izmir Shopping Center got expanded and the second phase of the project was opened.

Odak Atasehir Office Complex Project was developed.

In 2014, Agora Adapazarı Shopping Center was opened.

With 150 stores, Agora Cinemas, bowling, cafes/restaurants and the city's largest indoor theme park Agorix, Agora Antalya Shopping and Entertainment Center, one of the largest shopping centers in Turkey, Odak Group developed on of the largest shopping centers in Turkey, with the first IKEA in the Mediterranean region in it.

Agora Adapazarı Shopping Center expansion project was completed.

Odak has continued to expand in retail and entertainment business to approximately 30 stores with Agorix, one of the largest indoor theme parks in the country, the cinemas, family entertainment centers, fashion and clothing stores, food and beverage areas across the country.

Odak continues its activities to grow and serve better as one of the leading companies in engineering and construction, real estate development and management, energy, retail & entertainment as well as packaging industries.
