Built-in 1845-1848 on the orders of Tsar Nicholas I, the Military Governor's Mansion is now the residence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. This historical building was built by A.I. Peske on the project of the famous architect K.A. Ton, who designed the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow. The architecture of the monument is made in the Russian-Byzantine style of that period.
The style of the facade decorations is a combination of ancient Russian elements with Russian classicism. The decoration of the central hall and the stairs made of cast iron were made according to the project of P. Korinfskiy (Varentsov). All work on the restoration and reconstruction of the building has been completed by Odak Construction and all systems to ensure the operation and safety of the building have been installed.
